The seminar was held on 26.02.2016 in association with
the National Science Day. It was supported
by the Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Environment and DST,
Govt. of India.
This is the first time we celebrated the National Science Day in our college. In India, we celebrate the National Science Day on every February 28 to mark the discovery of the Raman Effect by Dr. C. V Raman.
This year February 28 is a holiday and so we organized the seminar a bit earlier. Also, this is the 20th year of our college. As a part of the Vicennial Celebrations we are planning a series of events. This seminar was the first in that series.
Usually in our college, we conduct seminars on a specific subject. But this seminar had a general theme so that students and staff belong to different disciplines were able to attend the seminar.
